communication process help managers and professionals do a better job?

 

Ans: Communication is the process of exchanging
information by different ways.

There involve steps in the communication process
and in two-way communication has four major steps:

1.Encoding the message

2.Communication Media

3.Decoding the message

4.Feedback

These above four steps play a major role which helps the managers
and professional to do a better job and there are few noise or interruption
which could block the message. This has to be known by the managers and
professionals such as to motivate them, information sharing, encourage team
work. For all of these good communications are very much essential. Correlation
and effective communication and engagement from employees results in higher
benefits. Effective communication provides a clear understanding of what is
demanded from them, with the knowledge of what to do and what to expect.

 To what extent are you concerned that your talents will go
unnoticed if you are a strong team player?

 

Ans: When the talent and skills of the individual is
noticed, he/she becomes a strong team player but certainly the reward goes to
the team and not to the individual for the achievement. A team player should
have the quality of adapting and to be flexible in any form of situations and
trustworthy. Communication skill is important for an individual, this builds
the confidence in the team. Team player should welcome and be open to the ideas
and views given by the team.

manager might ask a team.

 

Ans: If the members of the team failed to complete
the assigned task in the given time period, below are the commonly asked
question by the manager to the team:

Ans: Job is just not about completing the work
however it’s also about the involvement in the activities conducted at work
place. It is to keep the work environment more alive and united and keep the
mental relaxation.

Participating on a sports team, musical band
or orchestra are good to create an engaging and positive learning environment. Leadership
can be noticed by these activities, there are other qualities which can be
evaluated by the engagement or involvement in the extra activities.

Some managers send text messages instead of
telephoning or sending e-mails to employees and potential job candidates
because they think this is how younger workers prefer to communicate. 
What do you see as the advantages and disadvantages of using text messages to
communicate in the workplace?

 

 

Ans: Text messages have both the advantages
and disadvantages. One of the advantage is that the employee can go back to the
message can read it again and again to understand it better. For example, the
freshers who cannot understand what the manager is trying to explain him/her
can read the text message/emails and can refer it back and forth to get to
understand it better.

Sending text messages instead
of talking over the call can be advantageous for the manager too; as the
manager can compose the message once and can send the same thing all the people
he/she needs to send to.

Text messages have their own
disadvantages too. Text messages can consume little amount of time for example
the manager instructs employee to do something and the employee doesn’t
understand what the manager is trying to ask him to do. In this case the
employee has write back to the manager asking his doubts/concerns and the
manager may read it after a while if he was caught in some work and the
employee too can read the reply of the manager later. So, in the whole process
there is a considerable loss of time.

Text messages limit the information
that can be shared, as the messages can be hacked, and the confidential
information of the company can be leaked.

 

Why
is experience working on a cross-functional team particularly valuable for
a person who aspires to a career in management?

 

Ans: The cross-functioning team in general is a
team of people who represents the interest of the entire organization. This
team benefits the employees, customers and the organization as well. The
cross-functioning teams deal with all the primary teams – marketing, sales,
support, production, professional services etc. It’s the one team which has to
know and understand the role of all the primary teams and has to come up with
the solutions and improvements. This requires 
lot of management skills as you are dealing not just with one but every
team in a big organization. So, if a person works in here, he gets some very
good exposure to management which can be a great asset to someone who
aspires to a career in management

other on Twitter and Facebook during work hours improve organizational
communications?

 

Ans: Social media influences many aspects of our
daily life today and workplace is no exception. They are the information-based
tools that are used to exchange and share information. Some of the well-known
social media platforms are Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn etc. These platforms can
be used to enhance the productivity of the employees by developing connections
with colleagues and resources around the world. The platforms can be used in
various ways like online profiles, internet forums, pictures and videos,
podcasts, to name just a few. These can be of great use to the organization in
different ways. The departments in an organization can conduct brainstorming
sessions on a blog or a Facebook page, teams can make use of wikis for managing
projects, ideas and research works. Social platforms can be greatly used to
build or strengthen personal relationships among coworkers of an organization.
